A. IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Each application must be attached with a Processing Fee amounting to RM20.00. The payment must be made at any CIMB counter (account no: 0809-0004124-054) made payable to Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
  • Application for Foundation Programme is open to all SPM holders or equivalent qualifications.

  • Application for Undergraduate Programme is open to candidates with STPM, Diploma, Malaysian Matriculation, Foundation, A-Level, International Baccalaureate or other equivalent qualifications.

Note :
      • Kindly be informed that the Ministry of Education has introduced a new grading system for the SPM examination beginning 2009. For candidates applying or providing details using their SPM results (obtained prior to 2009), kindly refer to the Guidelines for SPM Grading to convert your results to the new SPM grading system for application purposes.

              • For those applying for Undergraduate Programme, kindly ensure that you are using your final results. UTP will only accept students who have completed their previous studies (proof of completion to be submitted – refer to Section B).
                  • Application for Foundation & Undergraduate Programmes (Malaysians only) for May 2013 intake must be made online AND followed with the submission of related documents. The closing date for online application is on 29th March 2013.

                  Note :
                  Please remember your email address and your password used for the on-line application. Your email address and password are needed to re-log into the system (as Existing Applicants) for you to edit your application and/or to check your status.


                    Your application will only be processed WHEN :


                    • The on-line application has been submitted (Note: Once you have filled up the online application, please make sure that you first click the SAVE button and then click SUBMIT. A reference number will be provided to each successful submission)AND
                    • The printed on-line application and all related documents received by Admission Unit, Registry Office, UTP on/before the last day of submission (Please refer to Section B).



                    Note :
                    Please check your application STATUS via www.utp.edu.my starting from 8th April 2013.

                    Please refer and adhere to UTP’s minimum entry requirement. UTP will not bear any cost resulting to your expulsion from the University for not meeting the stated minimum entry requirement.


                      B. 
                      IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH THE PRINTED ON-LINE APPLICATION: 

                      • A copy of applicant’s and parents’ or guardian’s I/C (certified true copy);
                      • A copy of parents’ or guardian’s salary slip or Borang J (certified true copy);
                      • A copy of applicant’s birth certificate (certified true copy);
                      • A copy of applicant’s SPM results  (certified true copy);
                      • A copy of applicant’s current or highest qualification final result (STPM or Diploma or Malaysian Matriculation or Foundation or A-Level or International Baccalaureate or other equivalent qualifications) – application for Undergraduate Programme only (certified true copy);
                      • A copy of applicant’s transcript OR proof of completion of study  (Diploma or Malaysian Matriculation or Foundation or A-Level or International Baccalaureate or other equivalent qualifications) – application for Undergraduate Programme only(certified true copy);
                      • A copy of applicant’s co-curricular certificates as stated in the on-line application form (certified true copy);
                      • A copy of CIMB payment slip (RM20.00) as proof of payment for Processing Fee (certified true copy).

                        Note :
                        • All the above documents must be certified by a Government Officer (Division 1) or Oath Commissioner or Penghulu or Headmaster/Deputy Headmaster ONLY.

                        • Last day for submission of documents mentioned above with the printed on-line application is on 1 April 2013.
